Training the back 3: Session 2 Tactical session zonal defending principles
In the previous session we introduced basic zonal defending concepts and the movements of 3 players. In this session, we train the back 3 with the midfielders in more realistic game situations. After a warm up, we focus on the functional play of the back 3 and then work in 2 central midfielders.
We progress the session by defending in a phase of play of the 3-5-2 formation, looking on how to deal with various situations in the game.
